I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland.
Based in Govan, carving and chiselling a way through life, offering bespoke handmade products and curious objects.
Beginning at the age of 9, my practice and love affair with wood has come full circle, spanning almost 40yrs, with a few useful diversions along the way…
I’ve studied Heritage Woodwork, Landscape Design & Construction, HND Digital Photography, Fine Art BA(Hons), and worked in Upland Conservation for over 10yrs.
Curiosity towards wood as a medium, and trees, has been a constant guiding force.
At a community workshop space in Govanhill Glasgow I teach interested groups and individuals how to use traditional hand tools to make basic but beautiful functional objects from bits of trees – https://www.craftcourses.com/providers/touchwood-glasgow
From my small studio workshop in Glasgow, I design, make, and repair furniture, make high quality unique carving knives, and create high-end leathercraft items.

My chief interests are in sustainable, more traditional ways of working, and practices that promote mental wellbeing whilst preserving heritage craft knowledge.
